What do Houston Wedding Planners do?
Part 1 – Pre Wedding
If you are planning an all-inclusive wedding in Houston, then you need to compare our all inclusive wedding packages. You must know by now that you are one of the lucky ones to get a day-of wedding coordinator. The saying is true; you get what you pay for. Choosing an all-inclusive venue for your Houston wedding is a wise choice as it provides not only a day-of planner but someone to help you all along the way, throughout the entire process.

Different all-inclusive wedding packages will likely feature different day-of specifics, but there are several tasks your planner is likely to handle in any package.
- Scheduling of Vendors – all-inclusive wedding packages will include most of your vendors, which is a huge stress saver. Most packages will give you the option to choose from several vendors in each category or will offer their own in-house vendor so that you do not have to run all over this large city planning. One of the most important aspects of your wedding day is making sure all of those vendors show up and show up on time! This is where your planner will take control. You should be busy getting beautiful (well, more beautiful than you already are!) and leave it to your coordinator to schedule vendors and make sure they arrive in a timely manner. And if they are running late, why should you be the one to worry about hunting them down? Leave that to the pros!
- Room Design – This is a tricky one as it requires upfront planning as well as coordination on the day of. If you have chosen an all-inclusive package, the best part is that someone else is responsible for set-up. You heard that right, no moving tables, no making sure you have enough chairs, no sweating before the wedding! Your package will likely include room design and set-up so your coordinator will be manning a team of qualified folks making sure ceremony and reception locations are exactly as they should be.

- Keeping the Timeline – A lot of times the DJ is the one who makes sure the evening flows as it should, but it’s the coordinator who sets the timeline in motion. He or she will be the one to make sure you hit the aisle when you should, they will make sure guests are seated, cocktail hour is ready when it should be, dinner is on time and that things generally fall into place. This is all part of your coordinator’s duties!
- Serve as Emergency Response – One of the best reasons to have a wedding planner is to have someone handle all of your wedding related 911’s. We hate to say this, but there is always a chance something could go wrong. It’s just the way things are. No matter how much planning you do; how much time, work, money and energy you put into your day, there is much to keep track of and things slip. If you are choosing or have chosen an all-inclusive wedding venue with an in-house coordinator, things are just more likely to go more smoothly. There is routine. There is familiarity. There is a process. It’s the nature of their day. This makes those wedding day emergencies much easier to plan for and attack. Many times, you may not even know there was an issue until after it’s fixed. That’s the way it should be!
All-inclusive wedding planners come with the package
All-inclusive wedding venue packages feature so many useful and needed benefits, and an in-house wedding coordinator is definitely one that tops the list! If you are watching your budget, many times the wedding coordinator is the first thing to get cut, but keep in mind that this is an included feature when choosing an all-inclusive venue. Research the benefits and ask your potential coordinator exactly what their list of duties and responsibilities are. They handle more than you realize.
What would be your number one reason for wanting to use a wedding coordinator? What would sway you against it?
