What you need to know

Choosing an all-inclusive wedding package in Houston is sometimes a turn-off to brides who have done very little research. Many brides view this option as expensive and too by the book, but all-inclusive wedding packages in Houston are beginning to find their place more than ever in the wedding market because brides are starting to see all of the benefits surrounding them and that they truly are one of the most cost-effective and easy solutions in having your dream wedding.

All-inclusive packages are a great way to plan for any bride, but there are a few things you need to know.

1. Flexibility – Look beyond the brochure for what the venue has to offer. All-inclusive packages offer something that a traditional venue won’t – a wedding coordinator! Most wedding coordinators will do whatever it takes to make their brides happy. If you need something off the brochure, they will do their best to make it happen. All-inclusive venues can provide brides with a unique flexibility to help meet your specific and extra requests because they tend to do most everything for weddings in house – which actually keeps costs down. Their reputation depends on your happiness; so many times, they will go to varying extremes to make you happy.

2. One-size does not fit all – All-inclusive wedding packages vary from venue to venue. Not all packages offered are the same, and many include and exclude different services. We always recommend touring your top venue choices, but also keep an eye on the packages they offer as well. Find what best suits your needs, budget and style and begin there. Then you can begin talking to your coordinator about adding the services you want or need that may not be included.

3. Custom Packages – Many all-inclusive venues will offer the option to create a custom package. This will likely be at the higher end on the price point scale, but keep in mind that it is an option. Say you fall in love with an all-inclusive venue, but can’t find the package that’s exactly the right one for you. Speak to the venue coordinator up front about creating a custom package to suit your needs. This may mean combining two of their packages or piecing together add-ons.

4. Lower Rental Fees – a great thing about all-inclusive packages is they work to your budget. Most of the line items that sneak up on your budget are already included, like chairs, linens, rentals, etc. These are all already included in the package price and many venues will have add-on options for more upscale options.

5. Extra! Extra! – All-inclusive venues are the best when it comes to tailoring their events to fit the needs of the bride; so many all-inclusive packages will offer add-ons. Some will offer extra services like honeymoon planning, while other venues may offer extras like limo services, extra lighting, ice sculptures or other things out of the realm of their pre-designed all-inclusive packages.

Choosing an all-inclusive package will help determine what steps you and your groom will need to take in order to complete your day. The more inclusive your package, the more your planner will handle and the less you will have to manage yourself. Consider these things when looking into packages. Don’t feel backed into a corner from every nitty-gritty detail of your package if it’s not all of what you want. Don’t be afraid to ask your venue coordinator to help you select the all-inclusive package that best suits your needs.
