Ashley and Brian had originally scheduled their wedding at Moffitt Oaks for a date in May 2016, however, due to an unforeseen illness in their immediate family, they moved their date up to March. In doing so, we did not have a long time to plan, but that wasn’t an issue at all! Ashley and Brian were great about making decisions when it came to décor, room set-up, etc. so it made it a breeze! How we love to experience our brides real wedding, and in the moment.
They originally wanted the Lakeside Arbor as the location for their ceremony, but since they changed their date, that site was not available and they chose the Cantina instead and had their reception in the Ballroom (as planned). It was the perfect mix of rustic and elegant. Ashley chose to use our newest centerpieces (the crystal stands, with which you can customize the height, add candles, etc.) and they shined with the floral arrangements her friend, Ruthie, designed.
The adage that March “comes in like a lion and out like a lamb” held true. Her date was early March and it was a little windy the day of the wedding. So windy that when Ashley stepped outside for the processional the wind blew and swept her veil right out of her hair! I caught it and re-pinned it and all was well! She went on to get great pictures later with her veil blowing that looked absolutely stunning!
Congrats to the happy couple!
